If you like tall and bright flowers, then plant a toothed buzulnik in your area. Its inflorescences, consisting of small, beautiful flowers, can grow up to 2 meters. Since the flowers are like tongues of flame, this plant is called "tongue" (translated from Latin).
The toothed buzulnik is quite hardy, however, it also has some features. They are best known and adhered to by every gardener. For example, it can grow for several decades without transplanting in one place. Even the most severe frosts do not pose any danger for this flower, so it does not need any shelter. Toothed buzulnik is not very picky about the soil, but still prefers moist and fertile. The toothed buzulnik really likes shady places, so it can be planted next to trees and water bodies. The roots of this flower do not grow deep into the soil, they creep along its top layer, rapidly filling this space.
How can it be propagated?
Propagation of toothed buzulnik is possible by seeds, and also by dividing the bush. The second way is simpler and more convenient. This process can be carried out from early spring to autumn in any selected month. Still, warm days (in spring) are more optimal for this process. At this moment, the toothed buzulnik develops most actively. Where do you start? The first is the timing of the flower transplant. Young leaves should only appear above the ground. Then it will not be necessary to dig out the entire bush directly, only just the necessary part of it. After that, the hole with the remaining plant must be covered with fertile soil and watered well.
The part of the buzulnik toothed flower, which was separated, must be washed with warm water (preferably at room temperature) and cut into pieces with scissors. Each of the parts must have a bud that is ready to grow. After that, all sections are subject to processing with potassium permanganate. A solution of medium intensity is made from it. Can also be treated with chopped charcoal. Then, when rooting the toothed buzulnik, there will be no problems.
For each part, you need to dig separate holes and prepare them. First, about 1.5 buckets of humus are introduced, then ash and superphosphate. Immediately before planting, the soil should be properly dug up. The seedlings are buried so that it is about 4-5 cm from the buds to the ground. Between the bushes themselves, it is better to adhere to a distance of about a meter: when they grow, they will not interfere with each other.
Also, spring planting has the following pluses. The leaves of the toothed buzulnik during this period are not fully developed, the evaporation of moisture is minimal, so the flower will direct all its forces only to the rapid healing of wounds and strengthening the roots. It also rejuvenates the mother plant. In addition, young seedlings bloom in the first year after planting in almost 100% of cases.

Despite the fact that the buzulnik is serrated, in principle, unpretentious, however, it also has slight weaknesses. A large amount of sunlight is poorly tolerated, and if additional watering is not carried out, especially during drought, it will lose its attractiveness and quickly wither.
For proper care of the toothed buzulnik, you need to carry out the following actions:
- pruning. If after flowering, you do not need seeds, then the inflorescences can be cut off. Then the toothed buzulnik will look beautiful until autumn. The ground part of this plant should be removed in November if a very cold winter is expected. Then it will be able to endure the winter much more calmly.
- garter - carried out during the flowering period of toothed buzulnik or if it grows in an area with a lot of winds.
- watering - this is the main requirement for this flower. It must be thorough and systematic. In a drought, the plant needs additional moisture. From a spray bottle it must be sprayed with water, then the leaves will not fade even in the heat.
- top dressing. The first is done at the time of planting the toothed buzulnik. Subsequent - every year. It is better to start fertilizing again in May and ending in August. At least 0.5-1 bucket of humus must be added to the hole for the current season. This amount is necessary for each toothed buzulnik bush. Top dressing is not carried out with large differences in both night and day temperatures. This should be postponed until the onset of steady heat.
Subject to these rules, an elegant and elegant toothed buzulnik can decorate your site for a long time.
