The Kuban crimson apple tree is a late winter variety and was bred at the North Caucasian Institute of Horticulture, by crossing two varieties: Red Delicious and Jonred.
The Kubanskaya Crimson apple variety was bred under the guidance of professional breeders. The plant was officially registered in 2003, after passing a series of tests. The variety is recognized as promising.

The Kuban crimson apple tree has an average height, while the young plant is characterized by a wide crown in the shape of a pyramid. As it matures, the crown becomes round, and the growth of the tree slows down.
The bark of the Kubanskoe crimson apple tree is smooth, has a gray-brown tint. The main branches form an acute angle in relation to the trunk. Moreover, they have a curved shape and are located quite rarely. Their ends grow up. Fruits are formed on ringlets: simple and complex.

If the fruit is harvested in late autumn, the blush turns purple. Also, the fruits are characterized by pronounced subcutaneous points, which are abundant. The surface of the fruit is slightly rough to the touch, and it is characterized by a slight waxy coating. The apples are attached with a small stalk. The funnel is very pronounced here, like the fruit saucer.
Inside each apple of the Kubanskoye scarlet variety there are seed chambers with narrow slits, in which medium-sized brown seeds are located. The flesh of the fruit is light in color. It is quite dense, juicy and sweet in taste. Experts estimate the palatability of the fruit at four and a half points. The appearance of the fruit is also very attractive and highly appreciated by professionals.
The shelf life of the Kuban crimson apple tree is a long period - until mid-spring. At the same time, the fruits tolerate transportation well. It should be noted that with prolonged storage, sometimes the fruits can get sick with bitter pitting.
